RANT - Klipsch Customer Support

So I bought a pair of Klipsch Image S4 from amazon.com in September. They have recently stopped working, so, in the knowledge that they were under warranty, I contacted Klipsch via email about my broken head phones with the Senior Product Support Representative:

Me: I bought a pair of Image S4's about three months ago, and recently they are having connection issues. When plugged in, I have to push the tip of the plug in order to get the a full sound (without doing this i can only hear treble and some mid range tones.) I hope there is a way this can be fixed because I love these headphones.
Klipsch: Hi Shawn, Where did you purchase those headphones? Do you still have your receipt?
Me: I bought them off Amazon.com, so I have an electronic receipt.
Klipsch: Hi Shawn, Our dealers actually handle the warranties for our products. You should be able to contact the Amazon seller for an exchange. Give us a call if you have any issues.

Their dealer handle the warranties for them? Then why does it say in the warrenty:
If this product is defective in either material or workmanship, Klipsch, at its option, will (a) repair the product, or (b) replace the product, at no charge to for parts or labor.


It also said that they would only replace headphones from an authorized retailer, which Amazon is.

I love Klipsch products for their amazing sound and low price tags, but if this not our problem attitude is continued, I can no longer recommend their products.

(I am hoping that amazon can remedy the situation, if all goes well, I will recommend buying them , but only directly from amazon.com, not from a seller)

I just received an email from amazon. They have given me another reason to love them. I now need to figure out if another company make as awesome of headphones for $80.
